Install the Health.md CLI
Dieser Inhalt ist noch nicht in deiner Sprache verfügbar.
Choose one installation method. The standalone CLI is a public preview for macOS, Linux, and Windows. The Health.md Mac app also includes signed helpers for Mac users.
Availability audit (2026-10-02): alpha.6 is published with uploaded installers, archives, and checksum/signature assets. Alpha.7 remains an unpublished draft with no assets and is not an install target. Neither publication nor a successful pairing qualifies a stable CLI/mobile pair. See release status for the separate qualification boundary.
Homebrew
Section titled “Homebrew”Homebrew is the shortest path on macOS or Linux:
brew install CodyBontecou/tap/healthmdhealthmd --versionThe formula currently serves alpha.6 and installs both healthmd and the healthmd-mcp compatibility launcher from the same versioned CLI release. Check the installed version; do not assume the tap matches development source.
To upgrade later:
brew updatebrew upgrade healthmdHealth.md for Mac
Section titled “Health.md for Mac”Health.md for Mac includes signed healthmd and healthmd-mcp helpers. Open the Mac app and select CLI to see the commands for your installed copy.
The normal app bundle paths are:
/Applications/Health.md.app/Contents/Helpers/healthmd/Applications/Health.md.app/Contents/Helpers/healthmd-mcpTo make them available in every terminal session, create symlinks in a user-owned bin directory:
mkdir -p ~/.local/binln -sf "/Applications/Health.md.app/Contents/Helpers/healthmd" ~/.local/bin/healthmdln -sf "/Applications/Health.md.app/Contents/Helpers/healthmd-mcp" ~/.local/bin/healthmd-mcpAdd ~/.local/bin to PATH if your shell does not already include it.
Release installers and Cargo
Section titled “Release installers and Cargo”Use the published healthmd-cli/v0.1.0-alpha.6 preview for checksummed installers and archives on macOS, Linux, and Windows. Before choosing a newer version, require a non-draft release with nonempty uploaded assets, sha256.sum, and sha256.sum.sigstore.json; a tag or draft alone is insufficient. Follow the release verification and installation instructions rather than the repository-wide latest-release link, which is reserved for the Apple apps.
After an exact version reaches crates.io, Rust users can install it with:
cargo install healthmd-cli --lockedVerify the installation
Section titled “Verify the installation”These commands are local and do not contact a phone:
healthmd --versionhealthmd --helpBoth should resolve to the same installation you intended to use:
command -v healthmdcommand -v healthmd-mcpNext step
Section titled “Next step”Pair an open Health.md app on iPhone or Android:
healthmd direct pair --transport manual-ipOr configure a supported local AI host and begin pairing in one flow:
healthmd setup codexSee Direct phone CLI for mobile requirements, transport behavior, and the current preview compatibility matrix.
